Introduction

Coucou! I’m Janice, your Pilates teacher.

I’m the founder of International Pilates House — a boutique home studio in Valbonne. In the evenings, I work remotely in my corporate career, but Pilates is where I found balance. It helped me overcome back pain from long hours behind the computer, rebuild strength, and improve my posture.

Pilates became my anchor, and now I’m grateful to share that passion with others. I earned my Mat Pilates and Reformer certifications in Florida, and I teach private, duet, and small group classes — creating a welcoming space where locals and expats can reconnect with their bodies, relieve tension, and feel stronger every day.

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, lived in Florida for 10 years, and just moved to Valbonne in 2025 with my husband. Building this new community from scratch here on the Côte d’Azur has been one of the most exciting adventures of my life.

Teaching Philosophy

At International Pilates House, my philosophy is simple: Pilates should fit you, not the other way around. Every body is unique, and I believe movement must be adapted to meet individual needs — whether you’re looking to relieve back pain, build strength, improve posture, or simply take a mindful break from a busy day.

In my classes, I emphasize:

  • Quality over quantity – precise, controlled movements are more effective than endless repetitions.

  • Personalization – I offer modifications for every level, from beginners to advanced.

  • Small groups, big attention – with a maximum of 6 clients, you’ll always receive guidance and corrections.

  • Mind-body connection – breath and focus are at the heart of Pilates, helping you move with awareness and ease.

  • Consistency over perfection – real change comes from small, steady steps, not chasing “ideal” poses.

My goal is for you to leave each session not only stronger, but also more balanced, energized, and confident in your body.
